A SPECIAL THANK
YOU TO ALL OF THE BUYERS OF WETHERS, EWES & RAMS.
Devitt Club Lambs was started in
2000 with a select group of ewes from some of the greatest Hampshire breeders to
date. Without Mike Hancock Hampshires, Cabaniss Hampshires, and Jimmy Miller,
Devitt Club Lambs would not exist.
2000 Mike Hancock and Devitt Club Lambs bought Miller 244. He was a great ram
and was only used 2 years before his death. He sired many outstanding rams for
Mike and big massive ewes for Devitt Club Lambs. We have many ewes that go back
to this outstanding ram.
2000 we also used Miller 213, he gave us a ram out a Cabannis x Stitzlein ewe
that we called Charlie. He sired big boned and extremely long loined sheep, we
still have 2 of his daughters and they have produced many winners.
2003 at Sedalia we purchased a ram lamb from Jimmy Miller,
TEX. Tex had true
breed character. He was stout, but pretty. Long, but still smooth, on a great
set of feet and legs. Tex made outstanding ewes, rams and wethers. We sold Tex
to Wheatons of Michigan where he did an outstanding job for them too. He sired
the Supreme Champion Ewe at Sedalia for Wheaton’s in 2006.Tex died in 2007.
Also at Sedalia that same year we purchased a yearling from Cabaniss Club Lambs.
BANKS
is a Cash son, has produced outstanding prodigy for us.
2006 we purchased another yearling from Cabaniss Club Lambs at Sedalia.
ELEVATION is the longest loined ram you will ever handle. He was what we were
looking for. Beautiful hide, really upfronted and long... What he gave us is the
best set of ewe lambs ever. One word fits them all BEAUTIFUL.
We used Blue Chip for our 2008
lamb crop. An outstanding Bounce Son out of a Lucky Daughter. The
Blue Chip lambs are really eye appealing, and fault free and are
very consistent as a group of lambs.
